Hannover 2017

In 2017 The Scottish Tramway and Transport Society’s returned again to Germany to visit Hannover’s extensive Stadtbahn network operated by üstra. With it’s distinctive high‑platform stops, generous tunnel sections, and striking mix of classic TW6000 units and modern low‑floor vehicles, gave the group plenty to look at throughout the visit. The visit allowed us to travel on routes extending from the historic Altstadt through modern commercial districts and out to residential suburbs aswell as group tours around the depots.
